What it covers

Core: The rules, science and safety every technician needs.
Type I: Factory-sealed appliances with 5 lb of refrigerant or less.
Type II: Split systems, rooftop units and commercial refrigeration.
Type III: Low-pressure chillers using R-123, R-1233zd or R-11.

100 questions: 4 sections of 25
18 correct to pass (70%) in each section

Our 30-minute timer is a practice setting. Real time limits vary by certifying organization.

How to prepare

Start with Core, since every type needs it. Then work through Type I, Type II and Type III. Use practice mode to learn each explanation, and take timed tests once you score 18 of 25 or better.
